National Statistics Day

The Department of Mathematics, SN College, Kannur, celebrated National Statistics Day on 30th June 2025 at 11:30 AM in Room No. 23.
The program began with an introduction by Ms. Mithuna, Assistant Professor( In contract) in Statistics, followed by her insightful presentation on the contributions of Prof. P.C. Mahalanobis.
Along with the presentation, a quiz competition was held in which 9 teams participated. After the entry-level round, 4 teams were eliminated, and the following 5 teams qualified for the final round:

1. Aromal P P & Sreeparvathi - B. Sc Physics
2. Akshay C & Msnacy S - B Sc Mathematics
3. Amith K P & Gautham - B Sc Mathematics.
4. Jeeva C P & Anamika K - B. Sc Mathematics
5. Pournami C P & Abhirami O - BA Economics

After a competitive and engaging final round, the results were as follows:
First Prize: Amith K P & Gautham - B Sc Mathematics.
Second Prize : Pournami C P & Abhirami O - BA Economics
Third Prize: Jeeva C P & Anamika K - B. Sc Mathematics

The event successfully honored the legacy of Prof. Mahalanobis and promoted student interest in the field of statistics.
