The College has 23.24 acres of land in its possession. The College offers adequate infrastructure facilities for curricular and extracurricular activities. Teaching-Learning facilities include 51 class rooms, 6 BSc laboratories, 3 MSc laboratories, 4 Research laboratories, 4 computer labs, 3 IT enabled seminar halls, an auditorium, 14 department staff rooms, Central library and Department libraries. Out of the 51 class rooms, 7 class rooms are smart class rooms and 8 class rooms are ICT enabled class rooms. During the last five years, the College has expanded its physical infrastructure as per the needs of its academic growth. With the increase in new academic courses, the College has undertaken several steps for the enhancement of infrastructure, including laboratory and library facilities. | Herbarium | 1 | Botany Department Herbarium The Herbarium, a unit of Botany department, has a collection of specimens comprising of Angiosperms, Gymnosperms, Pteridophytes and other lower plants. Taxonomic coverage is broad although majority of the specimens are Angiosperms. Angiosperm specimens include collections from all over Kerala and nearby states. It includes almost all families starting with Rananculaceae and ending in Poaceae. The herbarium is housed in specially designed wooden storage cases in the Museum. It provides support for teaching and research in systematic botany and helps the students in plant identification. |
