The 129th birth anniversary of Dr. E. K. Janaki Ammal was commemorated at Sree Narayana College, Kannur, with a seminar jointly organized by the Kerala Sasthra Sahithya Parishad and the college. Inaugurating the event, Dr. M. Nisha, Senior Scientist, Kannur Sugarcane Research Centre, urged the new generation to carry forward Janaki Ammal’s research spirit and scientific temper. Presiding over the function, Dr. K. P. Prasanth, Principal of the college, emphasized the importance of strengthening scientific societies in India to promote research collaboration, innovation, and public understanding of science. He also highlighted how forums like these can inspire young minds to contribute meaningfully to the nation’s scientific progress. The programme featured research presentations by scholars and concluded with the formation of the College Campus Science Committee. 04/11/25
