The use of narcotic substances has become a serious challenge in the modern world, with a particularly alarming rise among students. It is in this context that Anti-Drug Day observances gain great relevance and urgency.
On June 26, 2025, Sree Narayana College, Kannur observed Anti-Drug Day in collaboration with the Kerala State Youth Welfare Board and NSS Units 20 and 21 under the theme “NO TO DRUGS.” Principal Dr. K.P. Prashanth, who presided over the function, highlighted the vital role of educational institutions in building a drug-free society. Excise Deputy Commissioner Mr. Satheesh Kumar P.K. inaugurated the event, and former Indian footballer Mr. N.P. Pradeep served as the chief guest. The programme featured an anti-drug pledge, awareness messages, and active student participation, reinforcing the importance of social responsibility and collective action against drug abuse.
