Super Heroes – First Aid Skill Training

NSS Units 20 and 21 of Sree Narayana College, Kannur, jointly organized a programme titled “Super Heroes” on 21 August 2025 at 10:30 AM. The event aimed to impart essential skills in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid, thereby empowering students to act effectively in emergency situations.
The session commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Jeeshna M.V., NSS Programme Officer. The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. K.P. Prasanth, Principal, Sree Narayana College, while Mr. Pratyush Purushothaman, Superintendent, conveyed his felicitations.
The event was effectively coordinated by RJ Jithu, with RJ Theertha addressing the gathering. A highly informative class on Basic Life Support was delivered by Dr. Santhwana, ED Physician, AKG Hospital, Kannur. This was followed by interactive sessions on First Aid led by Prof. R. Arul Murugan (Vice Principal, AKG Nursing College), Mrs. Saranya K.S. (Lecturer, AKG Nursing College), and Dr. Anushree.
To strengthen the practical understanding of life-saving techniques, Prof. Arul Murugan, along with NSS volunteers, conducted a hands-on training session. The programme concluded with the Red FM team presenting a First Aid Kit to the Principal as a token of goodwill and commitment to health awareness.
