The Scholarship Distribution Function 2025–26, organized by Friends of Sree Narayana College 1993 – Helping Hands, was held at the Seminar Hall of Sree Narayana College, Kannur, on Tuesday, January 20.
The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. Sreenath Kakkarakal, Secretary, Helping Hands Kannur. Dr. K. P. Prasanth, Principal of the college, presided over the function and highlighted the role of alumni initiatives in supporting academic excellence and inclusive education.

The event was formally inaugurated by Mr. Pradeepan Kannipoyil, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Kannur, who distributed scholarships to deserving students and emphasized the importance of education in shaping responsible citizens. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. N. Sajan, Secretary, SNCKIAA, who appreciated the sustained efforts of the alumni in empowering students through financial and academic support.
The function also featured felicitation addresses by Dr. Jithesh K, IQAC Coordinator; Mr. Rajesh M, Circle Inspector of Police, Kannur; Dr. Sreejith Narayanan, Trustee, Helping Hands Kannur; and Mr. Dinraj, College Union Chairman.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Lajith C, Chairman, Helping Hands Kannur. The event reaffirmed the commitment of the alumni association to making a meaningful difference in the lives of students through continued support and engagement.
