Independence Day is an occasion to remember the sacrifices of the past and to face the challenges of the present. Freedom should not remain just an idea; it must become a way of life. It was achieved by uniting as human beings, transcending the differences of religion, caste, and language. Progress must reach everyone equally, and the living standards of farmers and workers must be improved. The Constitution demands duties along with rights. We must not hold on to rights alone while forgetting our duties. This day becomes a day of responsibility only when we understand the true meaning of freedom and put it into practice in our lives.
