Commemoration and Scholarship Distribution Held at Sree Narayana College, Kannur
The 1979–1984 Commerce batchmates of Sree Narayana College, Kannur, observed the 12th Year of Commemoration of their beloved friend Late Manoj Kumar A P on Thursday, 30th October 2025, at 2.30 pm in the Seminar Hall of the college. The event also marked the distribution of scholarships to meritorious first-year B.Com students — Ms. Gopika K V (Finance) and Ms. Isha P (Co-operation) — as part of the batchmates’ continuing tribute to their departed friend.
Dr. Prasanth K P, Principal, Sree Narayana College, Kannur, inaugurated the function and served as the Chief Guest. Sri. Santhosh Arayakkandy, Executive Member, Sree Narayana Trust, was the Guest of Honour.
In his address, Dr. Prasanth K P spoke with emotion about the significance of the occasion, describing it as a touching example of how friendship and compassion can transcend time. He praised the alumni for transforming their memories into meaningful action through student scholarships, thereby nurturing a culture of gratitude and social responsibility among present-day learners. He added that such initiatives reflect the values of Sree Narayana Guru and the enduring bond that unites the institution’s past and present generations.
The Principal also lauded the Commerce Department and the Batch Mates Forum for keeping alive the memory of their classmate through an event that blended affection, remembrance, and educational support.
