A blood donation camp was organided at Sree Narayana College, Kannur, on June 24 under the leadership of NSS Units 20 and 21, in collaboration with the State Bank of India and Thalassery General Hospital. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members, making the camp a grand success.
The official inauguration of the programme was done by the college Principal, Dr.K.P. Prasanth. Dr. Jeeshna M.V. (NSS Programme Officer) delivered the welcome address, and Mr. Pratyush Purushothaman (College Superintendent) offered felicitations. Doctors and lab technicians from Thalassery General Hospital were present and facilitated the smooth conduct of the camp.
All students who donated blood were awarded a certificate and a gift voucher worth Rs. 500 / as a token of appreciation.
With the message "Blood Donation – The Greatest Donation", the programme played a significant role in fostering social awareness and responsibility among students.
This initiative by NSS stands as a commendable example of nurturing social commitment and civic responsibility in young minds.
