Library and Reading Room

The College Library consists of:

  • The Reference Section
  • The General Library
  • Departmental Libraries
Reference Section remains open between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on all working days. Students shall use books issued from the reference section only in the reading room. They are not allowed to take those books outside.
The General Library functions on all working days and Saturdays (excluding second Saturdays). A student can borrow one book at a time which he/she can keep with him/her only for a week. Failure to return the book at the end of one week entails a fine of Rs. 1.00 per day. The reading room will remain open from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on all working days and Saturdays. It is served with common dailies, weeklies and fortnightlies and other journals. Public telephone facility is available in the Library room.Ph: 2734140. Internet facility is also available in the Library room.

Physical education - facilities & benefits

The Department of Physical Education is responsible for promoting interests in sports and games among students Coaching camps in various disciplines will be conducted during every academic year. There are 12 seats reserved under sports quota for degree courses. One seat is reserved for all PG Courses on rotation basis for outstanding sports persons.
Grace marks will be awarded to students who represent University and Inter University competitions.
Grace Marks are awarded to the prize winners at the University and the inter University Arts Festivals also at the following rates: Ist Place : 5%, IInd Place : 3%, IIIrd Place :1%

Student Gymnasium

The gymnasium is intended to promote sports activities and the general health of the students participating in sports and games. It is equipped with body building equipments and is attached to the department of physical education.

Student Co-Operative Store

To help the students to procure their text books, note books, record books, stationary etc. at a comparatively low price, a students co-operative store is functioning in the college. STD and Xerox facilities are also offered at the co-op store.

Co-Operative Staff Credit Society

To help the teaching and non-teaching staff by sanctioning loans and advances when in need. The society also encourages and facilitates banking with in the campus. Deposits and accounts are maintained by the society for the benefit of the staff.

The college provides a waiting room for girl students. The construction of the waiting room was financed by the Association of Old Students of S. N. College, Kannur (SNITES) Dubai.

All students of the college shall be examined by a team of two doctors every year

College Magazine

The college Magazine is published annually. It compiles the literary works of students.

Computer Facilities

The college has established a computer centre. The centre provides training in computer applications for students and staff of the college. The centre is equipped with Internet and E-mail facilities. Sri. B. Deepak, Department of Physics is the Director of the Centre. P.G. Department of Commerce has also developed a separate computer lab to equip the students with the latest trends in the subject.

Internet Club

Library and Departments are provided internet connectivity Lt. (Dr.) C.P. Satheesh is in charge of the Internet Club.
